Kvarken Archipelago World Heritage Site

Finland's only Natural World Heritage Site to be included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Kvarken Archipelago consists of more than 5,000 islands scattered throughout the Gulf of Bothnia. This gorgeous region offers many activities, including sailing, cycling, and fishing, making it an ideal spot for outdoorsy types. From Vaasa, it’s about a 30-minute drive to Kvarken Archipelago, the first stop on this journey.

To try the world's best gin at Kyrö Distillery, take a 30-minute drive from Vaasa to Isokyrö. Alternatively, take the train to Tervajoki, and then hire a taxi for the 10-minute drive to the distillery.
