Mathildedal Ironworks is a historic ironworks area by the sea in southern Salo. Mathildedal Ironworks was founded by Viktor Zebor Bremer in the 1850s.


The oldest buildings that are still standing date back to 1852. The ruggedness of the old buildings and the idyllic surroundings of Mathildedal Ironworks are definitely worth a visit.


There are hotels, Experience Accommodation, handicraft shops, cafes, and restaurants in the area, as well as an authentic old-fashioned romantic atmosphere. The Ironworks also make a great venue for events and celebrations.
