This February, the world’s happiest country is inviting singles on an unforgettable culinary adventure where pure nature, authentic flavours, and meaningful connections come together. Apply now for a chance to experience an immersive dining event featuring one of Finland’s official tasting menus – and shared as a blind group date with likeminded travellers and local Finnish singles. You may discover a new favourite food destination. You may find a connection. Either way, this is your chance to go on the world’s most epic dinner date and have some Finnish.

Finland wants to take you out to dinner

Can you name a single Finnish dish? Most can’t. This is why we’re offering solo travellers a unique way to discover one of our best kept secrets: Europe’s last undiscovered cuisine.

Earlier this year, we asked Finns from all over the country to identify the dishes that best define Finland and its unique regions. Then we enlisted the help of some of our most renowned chefs to craft them into Finland’s four official tasting menus – two of which we’ve already served to a group of lucky travellers in September.

Each tasting is about much more than food: it’s an experiential culinary journey through the flavours, traditions, sights and sounds of the surrounding region.

It’s time to set the table for the remaining menus. And this time, it’s a date.

In February 2027, the official tasting menus of Helsinki region and Lakeland are ready to be served to 8 lucky singles at each of two unforgettable Finnish Dinner Date culinary experiences – 16 in total. One will be held in Finland’s seaside capital of Helsinki and the other in Tampere, a vibrant city in the western shores of Lakeland.

You’ll travel. You’ll Have some Finnish. And you might even fall in love.

Your chance to fall in love with Finland – here's how to apply

Ditch the dating apps – create a Finnish Dinner Date application instead. Selected participants receive an all expenses paid, 4-day trip to Finland (the exact destination will be your first surprise match, revealed upon confirmation if you’re chosen). The trip includes a full, hosted itinerary of activities and dining throughout the stay, and culminates in the once-in-a-lifetime group dinner date in either Helsinki region or Lakeland.

Eight winners are chosen for both the Helsinki and Tampere culinary experiences – 16 in total – and they will be joined by two local Finnish singles on each dinner date. The 4-day Dinner Date experiences will take place between February 9th and 19th, 2027.

1. Complete the social media challenge

Post your video on Instagram, TikTok or Youtube, use #FinnishDinnerDate and tag us: @ourfinland on Instagram, @visitfinland.com on TikTok and @VisitFinland on Youtube.

If you choose to complete the challenge on Instagram or TikTok, your profile must be public so we can see your video. You can also upload your video to YouTube as Public or Unlisted (if you wish not to apply publicly with only people with the link able to view it).

2. Fill out the website application form

Complete the application form here on our website and remember to add the link to your social media challenge video on Instagram, TikTok or Youtube.

Applications close on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:59 AM Finnish time (EET, UTC+2).

Wait to hear if you've been selected

If you are chosen, we will contact you personally. The public selection announcement will come on December 1, 2026 and will be posted on Visit Finland's Instagram and TikTok channels.
